Happy Flowers
  • coffee filter for each child
  • one 3in. construction paper circle for each child
  • green constuction paper for making stems and leaves
  • assorted food coloring
  • small cups with water in them
  • eye droppers
  • glue
  • markers or crayons
  • newspaper
  • scissors
  • photo of child
  • Put food color in the cups of water.(children like to help with this part)
Cover the table with newspaper. Give each child a coffee filter and an eye dropper, allow them to drop different colors of water onto their filters (set aside when finished coloring them). When filters are dry, allow children to glue his or her photo of their face in the middle of the coffee filter. Put out the green construction paper and scissors. Help the children to cut out stems and leaves for their flowers and glue them on. Optional: you can add glitter for a little sparkle!

When flowers are dry, children can create a happy flower garden on the door or bulletin board. Or give to mom for a great mothers day gift!
