Bakers Clay Shamrocks
  • 1 1/2cups warm water
  • green food coloring
  • 1 cup salt
  • 4 cups flour
  • green pipe cleaner
  • wiggle eyes
  • different colors craft foam
  • glue gun
  • Mix water and salt, stir until dissolved,(add food coloring to water). Add flour and knead for 5 minutes. Roll out dough - about 1/4in. thick. Cut shamrock shapes with cookie cutter or a pattern. Mine where 4in. high and 3 1/2 in. wide, put on cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until hard. Cut mouths and noses out of craft foam, I also made hats for them out of craft foam, cut pipe cleaner in half and make bows to glue on the stem. they are very cute, enjoy.
Variation: You can also simply paint the baked clay with green paint to add more color, and decorate with sparkles!
