Acorns Come From Trees

  • Have kids color or paint leaves. Finger painting with red, orange, yellow and brown on paper then cutting out leaf shapes makes beautiful autumn leaves! You or your kids can then glue them onto paper to make a border around the paper. Next let your kids gather acorns outside in a bucket. Talk about where they come from, what animals eat them, what will grow from them, etc. Then they glue the acorns onto their paper. You can write their names or let them tear out pictures from magazines of things to do with acorns and trees or letters that begin with "A" to glue on around the acorns.
